How to assume the call?

We are facing the end times and in times like these, there is no room for neutrality or lukewarmness. Many people take their calling very lightly and do not have much interest in soul winning. They do not realize that what they are not doing now, they probably will not be able to do later.

The Lord asked the prophet Isaiah:

“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

(Isaiah 6:8)

How did the prophet reply?

“Here am I. Send me!”

(Isaiah 6:8)

Isaiah did not want someone else to go. He understood that the greatest privilege in life is to be chosen by the King of Kings to serve Him. From that day on, Isaiah gave himself completely to being God’s prophet, or mouthpiece, even when it meant he would have to deliver a very unpopular message.

When God calls us to the ministry, we must accept the call in the same way Isaiah did: giving it the priority it should have and being willing to pay whatever price necessary.

Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

(John 7:18)

The Lord Jesus left us another important characteristic of someone who is called: we must seek God's glory and not our own. Serving in the ministry is never to make us great, important or famous. On the contrary. it is for God to be exalted above everything and everyone!
