Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
(Romans 10:13-15)
The apostle Paul explains that salvation is for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. However, it is not about calling in a mystical way, as if it were a magic formula. It must be done with faith!
It is impossible for someone to put their faith in the Lord Jesus if they have not heard about Him and His work on the Cross. No one will hear this message if there are no preachers who go to the lost.
Paul clearly states that the responsibility of the church is to prepare and send people who will preach the Gospel in order for the lost can to put their faith in the Lord and receive salvation. If the church does not send anyone, the lost will not be saved. This is literally a matter of life and death!
