What are the characteristics of an Encounter guide?

To be an encounter guide, it is necessary to have special characteristics:

CARACTERISTICAS DE UN GUIA

1. Be called: The guide must understand that he has been called by the Lord for this mission and that it is a privilege to be called.

In Exodus 3, Moses received the Lord's call to lead the people of Israel to the promised land.

Moses accepted that call, obeyed immediately, and carried out the task that was entrusted to him.

So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.
(Exodus 3:10 NIV)

2. Holiness: Holiness always brings divine support to a servant of God because being sanctified symbolizes being set apart for God.

Therefore the Encounter guide must have a life of holiness.

In Judges 13:5 the Lord shows the fundamental characteristics of a sanctified leader. The guide is chosen by GOD in times of crisis, is endowed with supernatural strength to fulfill God's purpose, leads a life of integrity and is called to bring freedom to the people.

You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.
(Judges 13: 5 NIV)

3. Integrity: Integrity comes as a result of being in the presence of God.

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

(Proverbs 10:9 NIV)

4. Helpful:

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

(Marcus 10:45 NIV)

5. Possesses Authority: Authority comes as a result of integrity, a relationship with God, and a good testimony.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

(Luke 10:19 NIV)

6. Acts with Justice: This means doing things out of conviction and not out of your own convenience. An encounter guide has no preferences in dealing with anyone.

I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.

(1 Timothy 5:21 NIV)

7. Empathic: This is being able to identify yourself with the difficult circumstances of others.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

(Matthew 5:7 NIV)

8. Has a Heart according to God's: The guide manifests the love and compassion of Jesus.

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sickness.

(Matthew 14:14 NIV)

9. Depends on the Holy Spirit: The Word teaches us the importance of depending on the Holy Spirit and not on our own strength. The guide must surrender his life to the Spirit of GOD, renouncing any impediment, be it fears, insecurities, traumas, or sins. Ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit in every area of your life.

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

(Zechariah 4:6 NIV)
