In Acts 21:8-9 we find a visit that Luke and Paul paid to Philip, who was one of the seven men chosen to serve in the beginnings of the church.
What was surprising was that when they entered into his house they found a sacerdotal family, that is to say, the four daughters of Philip had the gift of prophecy and they practiced it.
All of this spoke highly about the spiritual level of Philip because it wasn’t only him who served the Lord as an evangelist, but all of his daughters served with him in the ministry of prophecy.
What a great example we receive from Philip while having all of his daughters in the ministry and anointed.
When Luke and Paul visited Philip they didn’t find his daughters far from God, they didn’t find two of them anointed and two of them in the world, they found four young ladies with a high level of service and dedication to God.
The huge question that comes up is What did Philip do to have their daughters reach that spiritual level?
It is very likely that Philip’s example of life was what shaped in great manner the spiritual level of his daughters.
His daughters grew up watching Philip preach, serve God, but most of all, they grew up with a father that knew how to dedicate himself to each one of them individually, that dedicated time so that each one of the four would feel unique and loved.
It is very likely that Philip spent hours in prayer for his daughters so that God would fulfill his purpose in them.
On the contrary, in 1 Samuel 8:3 we find a totally different case and it’s prophet Samuel’s case. This prophet was successful in his ministry, but failed when shaping his sons into trustworthy people.
The great challenge of God’s servants is to construct generations for God, but not only in their church, but firstly in their homes.
