How to prepare a team of guides for the Encounter?

Plan 40 consists of holding a series of 5 meetings, 1 meeting every week, starting 40 days before the Encounter. During this preparation all the aspects of the Encounter are being shared.
All meetings must be arranged by the Spiritual Guide and the General Coordinator of the Encounter.

The stages of this preparation are:

being-called

1. Announcement: The meeting should be open to all leaders who would like to be guides and who want to be working to enroll 10 people to Life Class.

2. Objectives:

· Share the rhema word of the Encounter.
· Present the General Coordinator.
· Define the goals and the place of the Encounter.
· Motivate the entire team, through testimonies from other Encounters.
· Instruct the guides to ask for a personal rhema word for their service at the encounter.

3. Teaching: "The privilege of the call"

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

(Genesis 12:1-3)


 

1. Announcement: The meeting must be open to all guides who are working according to the goals proposed in the first meeting.


2. Objectives: 
· Intercede for the objectives of the Encounter (it also helps to know the spiritual state of the group).
· Review a preliminary list of all attendees: People who are in the cell groups and for whom the guide is praying to attend (It helps to know who is working towards the goals).
· Plan the different spiritual strategies: prayer evenings, intercessions, fasts, etc.
· Motivate the entire team by listening to the rhema words of some guides.

3. Teaching: "Holiness, the key in obtaining God's support"

 

To rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.

(Luke 1:74-75 NIV)

 

What-it-means-to-be-a-guide

 

1. Announcement: The meeting should be for guides who are making effective contacts and have people enrolled in Life Class, which will have its first class this week.


2. Objectives: 
· Evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual strategies.
· Evaluate the status of the  goals and registrations.
· Assign the most fruitful guides some preachings at the Encounter, as appropriate.

3. Teaching: "What does it mean to be a guide?"

The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. (Proverbs 12:26 NIV)


A-heart-according

 

1. Announcement: The meeting should be for the guides who are making effective contacts and registration for the Encounter and have completed their registrations for Life Class.


2. Objectives:
· Review the outline of the talks assigned to the different preachers and make the necessary corrections.
· Evaluate the status of the goals and registrations.
· Intercede specifically for the areas revealed by the Holy Spirit.

3. Teaching: “A heart according to God”

 

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

(John 15:13 NIV)

 

_Depend-on-the-Holy-Spirit

 

1. Announcement: The meeting should be for the guides who are making effective contacts and registrations for the Encounter and have completed their registrations for Life Class.


2. Objectives:  
· Choose those who have reached the goal of 10 registrations as encounter guides.
· Present all the logistical and administrative details of the Encounter.
· Make the last corrections of the preachings.
· Intercede specifically for each session at the Encounter.


3. Teaching: "Depending on the Holy Spirit"

 

The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.
