Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds.
(Proverbs 27:23)
The leader's responsibility goes beyond preaching in the cell group every week. A very important part is monitoring the ministry continuously. This means identifying what is out of order and making the necessary corrections.
There are two fundamental steps in monitoring the Vision:
The leader must constantly review the work that is being done in his cell group and compare this with the goals that he has established for the ministry.
He also has the responsibility to take care of his disciples in all areas of their life. Inner growth, or character building, is more important than winning a lot of people.
How to evaluate the Vision:
Win: how many people are being won in the cell groups, how many people are won through each disciple and during the church meetings.
Consolidate: how many people that have been won have received a phone call, a visit, and how many are already part of a cell group. It is also important to know how many people are attending Life Class.
Disciple: how many people are part of a team of 12 and how are they doing in the Destiny Training process. It is also good to have one-on-one meetings in order to evaluate the character of each disciple, the struggles he is having and how you can help him grow in all areas of his life.
Send: how many leaders do you have in the ministry, how many cell groups in total and how many new cell groups have been opened. Also evaluate the growth of each cell group.
In order to be able to correct it is necessary to really know the Vision and to know each disciple. Once the weak areas have been identified, it is the leader's responsibility to take action and to correct them.
The leader should ask wisdom and knowledge in prayer (James 1:5-6). In that way, he is able to identify the root of the problem as well as the correct solution.
Evaluation and correction should work together in a cycle. Once a corrective measure has been taken, further evaluation must be carried out to see whether the measures were successful or not.
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
(Acts 2:41)
For God, each person who comes to church is very important. The best way in being accountable to God is taking care of the people He entrusted to us. A bank takes care of your money because money is valuable. When we monitor the different aspects of the ministry, we are letting God know that God’s work is valuable to us.
In order to be a good and faithful servant you must monitor what God has entrusted to you!
